Is yallo worth it?

yallo is Sunrise's second brand and lives off aggressive promo prices, especially on the Black plans with roaming. Catch a good promo and you pay less for unlimited with EU/USA roaming than almost anywhere else. But do the honest math: the Black plans tie you in for 24 months, the list prices above the promos are among the highest in Switzerland, and the plan line-up changes constantly. From 1 August 2026, yallo is also raising prices on most plans by CHF 1 to 2, full details here.

Who is yallo for?

For bargain hunters who keep an eye on the promo price and contract term and can live with 24 months of commitment. The Start plans on a monthly contract are solid, but no cheaper than the competition on the same network. Anyone wanting flexibility will find monthly contracts at a stable permanent price on the same Sunrise network with Digital Republic, swype or Galaxus Mobile.

yallo reviews: weak customer ratings

To be fair: yallo has one of the weakest rating pictures of any Swiss provider, currently 1.2 out of 5 on Trustpilot across more than 3,000 reviews and 1.5 on Google. The current values are shown in the Peer Score card above. The price advantage of the promos is real, but factor in the service level. Important with price increases: as an existing customer, you have a 30-day extraordinary right of termination from the announcement.

FAQ about yallo

yallo sells across two pages. The main catalogue holds four plans: Swiss Max for Switzerland, plus Europe, Europe Plus and Europe Max with unlimited roaming in the EU, the UK, the USA, Canada and Turkey. All four run at promo prices from CHF 21.90/month with a 24-month term. Alongside sits the Black line, which has no minimum term but also no discount and costs considerably more.
yallo uses the Sunrise network, Switzerland's second-largest mobile network with 99% population coverage and broad 5G in all major cities.
yallo is a 100% subsidiary of Sunrise. yallo is the digital self-service brand for price-conscious customers who can do without store advice but want Sunrise network quality.
Same network, but yallo is significantly cheaper. Trade-off: no store support at yallo, everything via the My yallo app. Sunrise direct makes sense for advice and device sales, yallo for pure mobile functionality at low prices.
Yes, all yallo plans include 5G on the Sunrise 5G network. 5G is widely available in Switzerland's major cities.
Yes, yallo supports eSIM. Activation is normally CHF 40 but free via the My yallo app (self-service bonus). First eSIM is free for new customers. To switch from pSIM to eSIM, use the app for CHF 0 activation.
Yes. Swiss Max includes 5 GB abroad, and the three Europe plans give unlimited data in the EU, the UK, the USA, Canada and Turkey. What separates them is calling: Europe adds 60 minutes, Europe Plus unlimited local calls, Europe Max unlimited calls from Switzerland on top.
Both are Sunrise subsidiaries with a self-service setup. yallo works with low promo prices that require a 24-month term, swype runs an app-only flow with no minimum term. If you are happy to commit, yallo is cheaper. If you want to stay flexible, swype fits better.
Yes, yallo is a Sunrise subsidiary and an established Swiss provider with a long history and over 2,900 Trustpilot reviews. A solid brand in the Swiss MVNO market.
Yes, porting your number to yallo is free and takes 1 to 3 business days.
